Month 2: Farms
Month 2 of our preschool program unfolds with a vibrant exploration of farming. In Week 1, children delve into the basics, grasping concepts like halves and wholes through engaging shape activities. The week features a self-portrait art session, visual discrimination exercises, and a hands-on farming science exploration. Week 2 shifts the focus to farm animals, incorporating sensory activities and music sessions, culminating in a delightful "Pigs in a Blanket" snack-making experience. Week 3 introduces varied activities, from fine motor skill development to rhyming word games, fostering a holistic learning experience. The week concludes with a healthy "Broccoli with Ranch Dip" snack. The final week imparts practical skills like knot-tying and understanding opposites, complemented by a whimsical "Fruit Snake Snack." A supplemental farm visit enhances the children's understanding, while dressing for weather activities and a refreshing "Apple Slices" snack conclude the month, reinforcing the farm theme and promoting healthy habits.
