This curriculum was designed as a labor of love. As a homeschooling mom of eight, I struggled to find a preschool curriculum that was engaging, action packed, subject-filled, teachable, and complete. My preschoolers wanted to do what their older siblings were doing, and school time was no different. Most of the activities the older children were doing in school were too advanced for the younger children. I did not want to put a damper on their eagerness to learn, so I began creating a curriculum that would allow them to participate with the older children during school time and foster the whole child.

 

I believe strongly in a whole child approach. My curriculum does not just encourage academic learning but also fosters the child’s social, emotional, spiritual, and physical learning through various instructional strategies, family engagement, critical thinking, and social/emotional wellness. I believe this not only creates a well-rounded education but also a well-rounded child.

 

My prayer is that you find this curriculum engaging and easy-to-use. Most importantly, I pray the preschoolers using this curriculum remain eager to learn new things by exploring, experimenting, and making discoveries.

 

Preschoolers learn best through playful interaction with the objects, people, and community around them. This curriculum is designed to:

• Introduce preschoolers to new things to see, hear, touch, taste, and smell.

• Contribute to their growth in all areas of their development: physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language.

• Lay a successful foundation for future educational experiences
